HURRICANE COMMUNITY RESOURCES

We have set up a Volunteer Sign-Up for anyone who would like to volunteer their time. Once you sign up you are automatically added to a list of volunteers that we call as soon as one of our businesses, residents or cities call us for help. You can sign up here:

We have also set up a GoFundMe to support the hospitality industry workers who are now unemployed due to the impacts of the storm on our hotels, restaurants and attractions. If you are interested in donating you can visit our GoFundMe here:

HURRICANE COMMUNITY RESOURCE CENTERS

In an effort to immediately address our communities needs, the Tampa Bay Beaches Chamber in partnership with the Tampa Bay Rays, Duke Energy and Pinellas County Economic Development is opening three resource centers on the barrier islands. These resource centers have power, information about post storm resources, and are distributing some certain supplies like food and water.

  • Tampa Bay Beaches Chamber: 6990 Gulf Blvd, St. Pete Beach, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
  • Madeira Beach City Hall: 300 Municipal Dr, Madeira Beach, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
  • Sheraton Sand Key: 1160 Gulf Blvd, Clearwater Beach, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

RESOURCES FOR BUSINESSES

 

TEMPORARY HELP STATIONS:

  • Small Business Help: The Florida SBDC at USF will be on-site at Tradewinds (5500 Gulf Blvd, St Pete Beach, FL 33706) Monday, October 7 to Friday, October 11 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Stop by and let our professionally certified consultants guide you through these critical recovery programs: SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL), SBA Physical Disaster Loan, Florida Small Business Emergency Bridge Loan Program.
  • Insurance Help: There is an Insurance Village from October 4th until October 6th from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Long Center (1501 Nort Belcher Road in Clearwater). Here you can file insurance claims related to Hurricane Helene with representatives from more than 30 agencies representing flood, automobile, and homeowners insurance. (Please consider bringing: A driver’s license or other form of identification, Insurance cards and insurance policy information/documentation, Pictures or documentation of the property being claimed as a loss resulting from Hurricane Helene, Repair estimates, Any additional insurance-related information that is readily accessible)

  • Insurance Help: There is an Insurance Village from October 4th until October 6th from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Long Center (1501 Nort Belcher Road in Clearwater). Here you can file insurance claims related to Hurricane Helene with representatives from more than 30 agencies representing flood, automobile, and homeowners insurance. (Please consider bringing: A driver’s license or other form of identification, Insurance cards and insurance policy information/documentation, Pictures or documentation of the property being claimed as a loss resulting from Hurricane Helene, Repair estimates, Any additional insurance-related information that is readily accessible)
  • FEMA Help: FEMA has opened a Disaster Recovery Center at the Largo Public Library (120 Central Park Drive). The center will remain open from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. from Monday through Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays. Staff will assist residents with applying for various programs and resources related to disaster recovery.
